• Recommended Cementation

BruxZir® Solid Zirconia

• Resin-reinforced glass ionomer cement (RelyX Luting Cement, 3M ESPE; GC Fuji Plus, GC America)
• Resin cements for short or over-tapered preparations (RelyX Unicem, 3M ESPE; Panavia F2.0, Kuraray)

IPS e.max®

For greatest strength, and where preparation allows for dry field (supra-gingiva margins), it is recommended to use adhesive bonding, such as Multilink Automix (Ivoclar Vivadent) or similar dual cure materials. For areas subgingival, or when a dry field cannot be achieved, Ivoclar Vivadent recommends a hybrid glass ionomer cement system with less than 0.5% expansion.

RECOMMENDED RESIN CEMENTS:
• Speedcem (Ivoclar Vivadent)
• Panavia F 2.0 (Kuraray) -ideal for short, tapered preparations
• Resin Ionomer cement (RelyX or RelyX Unicem, 3M ESPE)
• Maxcem Elite (Kerr)

IPS Empress®

Adhesive bonding/dual cure materials including:
• Variolink Veneer (Ivoclar Vivadent)
• Nexus 3 (Kerr)
• RelyX Veneer Cement (3M ESPE)

Lava™ Crowns & Bridges

• Panavia 21
• Glass Ionomer Cement (Fuji GC)
• Resin Ionomer Cement (RelyX by 3M ESPE)

Premise Indirect™

All composite or belleGlass/Connect restorations should be cemented using Silane and a dual cure resin cement that matches the shade of the restoration. Recommended cements are VarioLink II, Dual-Cement and Nexus.
Remove temporary and clean preparation with pumice and try-in restoration. Adjust if necessary. Then acid etch enamel and use current enamel/dentin bonding system. Sandblast internal surface of restoration and apply silane per manufacturer's instructions. Mix dual cure cement and apply to internal surface of restoration evenly. Seat restoration and hold down with instrument while the doctor or assistant uses floss to remove excess cement to reduce finishing time. Then light-cure for 1 minute per surface and finish excess per finishing techniques listed above.
