The Comfort H/S™ Hard Soft Bite Splint is designed to alleviate the pain and damage caused by bruxing or clenching of the teeth. It is the most widely prescribed bite splint available due to its comfort and fit, and is available in clear, blue, green and pink.
Two layers make up the Comfort H/S Bite Splint: a 1 mm soft polyurethane inner layer and a 3 mm hard copolyester outer layer. The soft internal surface rests comfortably against the teeth and gums, while the hard occlusal surface provides durability and bonds with acrylic for easy modification. Each splint is made with a standard flat occlusal plane and slight opposing cusp indentation or to your specific bite plane needs. The Comfort H/S Bite Splint is fabricated from ISO-certified ERKODENT®, copolyester and polyurethane discs, which are BPA-free and non-allergenic.

The Astron CLEARsplint™ is a hard nightguard fabricated from a modified composite material that is made to your prescribed bite plane. For daytime grinders, an Astron CLEARsplint day guard offers relief. This optically clear splint is nearly invisible when worn and amine-free to resist yellowing. When placed in warm water before inserting in the mouth, it will self-adjust for the closest fit and increased patient comfort. Because it does not contain the methyl methacrylate found in other acrylic splints, patient allergy problems are eliminated. Chairside repairs can easily be made with cold-cure acrylics.
If desired, a colored tint can be added to appliances made of processed acrylic or the Astron CLEARsplint material. The appliance will still be translucent, but with an added tint.
